International Museums day
On May 18th, for 41 years now, the museums international day is celebrated all over the world, a day that reminds us of the essential part that they form in our lives and, above all, in our society.
The museums of Sitges have been participating in the celebration of this day for a long time; the Museu Cau Ferrat, the Museu Maricel and other institutions have programmed open days, guided visits, games, a free choral concert and night visits on Saturday night, which is when the museums night is celebrated.
In case the museums of Sitges fall short, there are 30 minute trains to Barcelona every 15 minutes, where you will find around 50 museums of all kinds. Barcelona also celebrates the day and night of the Museums, and the queues that are formed to enjoy them are extraordinary. There must be a reason!
